2001: A Space Odyssey
I borrowed the book Saturday, finished it Sunday, and watched the movie today. Amazing movie, but both book and movie are confusing. I highly recommend both; it is also good to note that the book was started first but released a year later. The last scene, “Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite” also syncs with the Pink Floyd song, Echoes. The movie won the Academy Award for Best Special Effects, and various quotes from the movie are now famous. For example, “Open the pod bay door, HAL,” and “I'm sorry Dave, I'm afraid I can't do that,” are both famous and recognised often.

Hmm. The film is totally overrated, IMHO, apart from HAL. I could do that voice all day and still find it funny... Pretty decent book though.
